You are so right. I am also in a "work anywhere" career and often work in coffee shops and lunch spots with internet access (and soda fountains)

I think the most amazing thing, for me, is the capacity we have to create or dream business on the internet. It's creating possibilities designers could not dream of even a few years ago.

Thanks for reminding us about all the things that are mind blowing when you take a second to think about them.

Excellent point on the mobile technology, Mitch. It's amazing how integrated everything is becoming. With an app like LogMeIn Ignition you can even control your desktop or notebook computer from the interface on an iPhone. Amazing! The integrated VOIP stuff is super cool too.

Great post Dave, I also enjoyed that Louis CK episode on Conan! We often take for granted the amazing technology that surrounds us. In particular, I think it's pretty amazing what we can do with our mobile phones now; being able to surf at desktop speeds, look up reviews of local restaurants with YELP, voip call a relative long distance for free with Skype or GoogleVoice, run into an old friend in the area with Foursquare, watch a video on Youtube, or update the world through Twitter, all while walking to your next destination.

Dave, first of all, I LOVE the Louis CK bit on everything being amazing. In particular the part about flying – it is HILARIOUS (just in case you've seen other bits of his). Second, I totally dig the way you connected it to the social networking. It truly is amazing that I can sit in Cleveland, or Dayton, Atlanta, or Houston and connect with my family. Sammy even gives me hugs, kisses, and tries to tickle me through the computer. It's a whole new level of cool and I'm glad it's there for us _____where men.
