Things are rolling right along with the plan to open a coworking space in the modest town of Grand Rapids, MN. Coworking has become a common thing in large metro areas, but it’s just as relevant (if not more so) for smaller communities like this one.
In today’s video I talk about where things are at and where they’re headed with the new space. Some folks have already committed to utilizing the space and I think it’ll really get going once the space is open.

Congrats Dave – the new coworking space looks great and I applaud you working with the Chamber to get it done. I’d love to talk with you some time to learn more about how you made it happen, what you charge for the space, and other details. I want to spend more time outside my home office but there aren’t a lot of options close to where I live. FIRE IT UP!

Thanks Brian! Yeah it’s great so far. It’s nice to have choices each day as to where you can work, isn’t it? Helps prime the creative cells in the brain sometimes.

Fortunately the Chamber had vacant commercial space in their own building to use and were able to get some funding for the furniture, locks, etc. I’m just finishing up the website for the space and when I get that launched I’ll let you know. It’ll talk about the monthly cost, setup, etc. Excited about the possibilities!
Thanks Jeremy! Yeah the location is fantastic. Definitely not a huge space, but room enough for a few folks and right in the middle of town. Walking or biking here will not be a problem. Stop on in next time you’re up!
